While at the network news magazines PrimeTime Live, 20/20, and Dateline, Susan achieved national recognition for her investigative reporting, covering a range of subjects, among them:
poor conditions in child care; migrant labor abuses; medical mistakes in diagnostic ultrasound; deregulation and its health impact in the nation’s meat inspection system; food handling and labor abuses at the nation’s fastest growing grocery chain; systemic abuse in the commercial dog breeding industry.
After leaving network news, the Emmy-nominated journalist used her extensive media contacts to successfully place client stories with a wide range of local and national news media, including: ABC, NBC, and CBS News shows, CNN, Fox, NPR, and major print including Newsweek and the New York Times.
Susan began her investigative reporting career at the Better Government Association, a nonprofit and nonpartisan, government watchdog in Chicago. She is a graduate of Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor of Science in history and social policy.
